Adulthood is filled with choice, autonomy and independence. We quite literally decide who we let into our lives, what we do in our free time, and more. This is what it means to be an adult. We have to take responsibility. This is the difference between the powerlessness of childhood and the powerfulness of adulthood.
Choose a life thats filled with pleasure, fun, and mutuality. Choose relationships that are clear and add to a sense of confidence and wellbeing. Make intentional choices to fill your time with activities that are stimulating and increase joy. Choose to develop a way of being with yourself thats defined by empathy and compassion.
This is easier said than done.
